Privacy Policy

Alice is a text-message assistant for parents and guardians, operated by D6Five. This policy explains what Alice collects, why, and what she does not do with it.
The short version. Alice keeps your mobile number, the school and grades you tell her about, and the messages you exchange with her. She uses them only to send you school-event reminders and answer your questions. Your number is never sold or shared for marketing.
What we collect
- Your mobile number — so Alice can text you.
- Your child's first name and grade, and the school, if you choose to tell her — used only to decide which events are relevant to you.
- Messages you send Alice, including any photos of flyers, so she can answer and create reminders.
- Consent records — the date, time, and wording you agreed to when you opted in. We are required to keep these.
- Delivery status from our messaging provider, so we can tell when messages fail to reach you.
What we do not collect
Alice tracks school and grade-level events. She does not collect grades, attendance, health information, or any other record about your individual child, and she has no connection to your school's student information system.
How we use it
Only to run the service: sending event reminders, answering what you ask, and keeping the required opt-in records. We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not build profiles for marketing.
Who we share it with
We share only what is necessary with the providers who operate the service on our behalf:
- Twilio — delivers the text messages.
- Anthropic — powers Alice's understanding of your messages.
- Railway — hosts the application and its database.
We do not sell your information, and we do not share it for anyone else's marketing. We may disclose information if legally required to.
How long we keep it
We keep your information while you use Alice. If you opt out, we stop messaging you immediately and keep only what is needed to honour that opt-out and to satisfy our record-keeping obligations. You can ask us to delete the rest at any time.
Your choices
Reply STOP to any message to stop everything. Reply START to resume, or HELP for help.
To see, correct, or delete what we hold about you, email connect@d6five.com from the number you use with Alice, or text Alice and ask.
Children
Alice is for adults aged 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect information directly from children. The only child-related information Alice holds is the first name and grade a parent chooses to tell her, so she can send the right reminders.
Security
Information is held in an access-controlled database and transmitted over encrypted connections. No system is perfectly secure, but we limit what we collect precisely so there is little to lose.
Changes
We may update this policy. Material changes will be announced by text before they take effect.
